Sedation Dentistry

Comfortable and stress-free services

Anxiety-Free Dental Care

Dental care is often neglected because of fear, anxiety, and past experiences.

You are not alone, and there are solutions to help you overcome these issues. With sedation dentistry, you can relax while receiving the dental care you need.

Our goal is simple: to help you relax so that you can receive the dental care you need without stress and anxiety. When visits feel easier, it becomes much simpler to keep your smile healthy.

Don’t Let Fear Delay Care

Skipping dental cleanings allows for the buildup of plaque and tartar on your teeth. Over time, this could lead to tooth decay, gum disease, tooth loss, and other health problems. When you receive sedation dentistry services, it becomes easier to stay on track with your oral health.

If anxiety has been keeping you from making an appointment, we encourage you to consider our sedation options. Our comfortable and stress-free services can help you take good care of your teeth.

How IV Sedation Helps You Relax

IV sedation is one of the most effective methods to help you relax while receiving dental care.

You will be injected with medication through a vein in your arm or hand, and you will be in a state of deep relaxation. Most patients remember little to nothing of the experience.

The benefits you will enjoy include:

  • Reduced fear and anxiety
  • Less awareness of sounds, smells, and time
  • Relief from procedure-related discomfort
  • Help with a strong gag reflex
  • Fewer appointments for complex care.

Because you are so relaxed, longer or more involved treatments can often be completed more efficiently.

Your Safety Comes First

Your comfort is our priority, and so is your safety. Your vital signs will be monitored while you are under sedation, and when the visit is over, you will feel drowsy and will experience impaired coordination for at least 12 hours, so you should not drive home and should plan to rest the remainder of the day.

Other Sedation Options

We recognize that not all patients need the same level of sedation. We offer different types of sedation according to your comfort level and the type of treatment needed.

Nitrous oxide, which is often called laughing gas, is breathed through a small nose mask. It starts working right away and helps you relax and stay calm while remaining awake. It doesn't take long for the effect to wear off, and you will be able to drive yourself home.

With oral sedation, you take medicine before your appointment. You will be extremely relaxed and may even fall asleep. However, you will still be able to react and interact with our staff. Due to the effect on memory and coordination, you will need someone to drive you home.
